Join Laure for this 5 day intensive Masterclass ‘ The Art of French Upholstery’ , making a Georgian Dressing Stool, in the traditional French manner. You will learn about the tools and materials used as well as covering lots of techniques from hemp webbing, applying hessian, horse hair, sophisticated stitches, cutting fabric, corners and blind stitches. This course is a rare chance to extend upon your upholstery skills and venture into the fine details of Antique Restoration.

No prior experience is required to tackle any of our courses! You will be given a full induction, covering all the tools of the trade, and everything is included you just have to bring yourself. We will guide you through every step of the process and you will be amazed by what you can achieve! We encourage total beginners to strive for that professional look. If you have never tried upholstery before, just go for it!

The workshop will attend no more than 4 people,  to assure that you get the best time out of it. 1 hour lunch break will be included in of our local coffee shop.

At the end of the week, you will be able to take home your beautiful footstool & show off your new piece.
